Privacy Policy
Last updated: March 25, 2026
EQ Trainer is a conversation practice product. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and how we handle it when you use the app.
1. Information we use
- Practice content you submit in text, voice transcript, image, or video form so the app can generate dialogue, feedback, and media analysis.
- Basic device-level settings such as language, appearance, reminders, and local training progress stored on your device.
- Subscription status provided by Apple so the app can unlock paid features.
2. How the information is used
- To generate scenario dialogue, feedback, pro replay, role switch exercises, voice correction, text-to-speech, speech-to-text, and optional media analysis.
- To maintain your local practice history, streaks, and progress dashboards inside the app.
- To restore or manage subscriptions through your Apple ID.
3. Storage and retention
- Your training history and progress are primarily stored locally on your device through Apple system storage.
- Conversation and media content may be transmitted to our backend and model providers only for processing the requested feature.
- We may update app content, prompts, and legal copy from the backend so installed apps can read the latest version without requiring a new app release.
4. Third-party services
- Apple services may be used for subscriptions, speech, notifications, and device-level identity state.
- AI and voice features may rely on OpenAI-compatible model providers configured by our backend.
5. Your choices
- You can choose whether to enable notifications, haptics, media uploads, and audio features.
- You can manage or cancel subscriptions through Apple and restore purchases on a new device.
6. Policy changes
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, the latest version published by the backend will be shown inside the app.
